:: Community - Ottawa Police Services Meeting on Recent Break-ins

There have been several break-ins in the Barrhaven and Kanata areas this year. According to the Ottawa Police Services the targeted homes have been homes belonging to members of the South East Asian community. The National Capital Region Tamil Association (NCRTA) has been working with the Ottawa Police Services to bring awareness to the South East Asian community of these break-ins.

In order to reach out to more members of the community and to reassure the community that the Ottawa Police Services are doing everything possible to find the perpetrators of these crimes, NCRTA is organizing a public meeting with the Ottawa Police Services at the Barrhaven Walter Baker Centre on Saturday, December 10th at 3.00 pm.

Date & Time: Saturday, December 10, 2011 -- 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Location: Walter Baker Centre -- Food Court, 100 Malvern Drive, Barrhaven (Map).

This meeting will provide an opportunity for the community to raise their concerns directly with the Police. The local city Councilors have also been invited to this meeting.

Please pass this information to others who may be interested in attending this meeting.

You may donate non-perishable food items towards the third annual NCRTA food drive to support the Ottawa Food Bank.

Please contact us at if you have any questions.

Everyone in welcome!
