The National Capital Region Tamil Association (NCRTA) will be holding its Thirteenth Annual General Meeting on Sunday, November 05, 2017.

With the public's continued support, NCRTA organized many events to engage and unite the Ottawa Tamil Community. This included sporting events, charity fundraisers as well as cultural celebrations. We appreciate the help of all our members and the entire community. Many of these events would not have been possible without your support.

Meeting information is as follows:

    • Elections:
    Elections will be held for all the 15 executive positions of the NCRTA board for a two year term. As stipulated in the NCRTA constitution, none of the current board members can run for the same positions they currently hold.

    Following are the NCRTA board executive positions:

    • President
    • Vice-President
    • Secretary
    • Assistant Secretary
    • Treasurer
    • Assistant Treasurer
    • Cultural Coordinator
    • Youth Coordinator
    • Sports Coordinator
    • 3 Area Coordinators (Ottawa-Nepean, Ottawa-West, Ottawa-Centre)
    • 3 Executives-at-large

      • To run for a board position, the candidate must have been a member of NCRTA for a minimum of one year on the date of the election.

      A minimum membership period of six months is required to vote in the elections.
