BarrhavenLive Multicultural Fest is a part of the Canada day celebration in Barrhaven. Tamil children trained by Jini Majur of Nirtyalaya Dance Academy will perform on the stage at 6:50 PM. Please come and participate in the Canada day activities and show your support to the children. The National Capital Region Tamil Association (NCRTA) held its third annual general meeting on Saturday Oct 20, 2007, at the Walter Baker Centre (Hall B), 100 Malvern Drive in Ottawa. Elections were held for executives and directors of the 15 member 2007-2009 board. The positions elected were President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, Assistant-Secretary, Cultural Coordinator, Youth Coordinator, and Sports Coordinator. Aug. 13, 2005: Inaugural Summer Picnic

NCRTA held its first event, 2005 summer picnic, on August 13th 2005 at Vincent Massey Park. Everyone acknowledged it as a great success. Over 200 adults and more than 50 seniors took part in the event and the highlight was the enthusiastic participation of more than 100 children.
