NCRTA is holding its seventh annual food drive from November 14, 2015 to December 14, 2015 to help the Ottawa Food Bank. The Ottawa Food Bank provides emergency food to 50,000 people a month, of which 37% are children. This is a great opportunity to help eliminate hunger in Ottawa and we would really appreciate if you could join us in our efforts.
Donations can be made in the form of monetary contribution or non-perishable food items.
Monetary Contribution:
Every dollar Ottawa Food Bank receives has 5 times the buying power because it purchases food items in large quantities from the exceptionally generous food industry partners. This means, every dollar you donate provides five dollars worth of food for our community. Also you get tax receipt from the Ottawa Food Bank for donations of $10.00 or more.
Therefore, please consider a monetary contribution during NCRTA's 7th Annual Food Drive. Click here to make a donation online.
Non-perishable Food Contribution:
Non-perishable, nutritious food items such as canned meats and vegetables, cereal and rice are easy to store and deliver to Ottawa Food Bank's member agencies. Take a look at the below list to see the most-needed food items and where they can be donated under the seventh annual food drive by NCRTA.
