NCRTA is holding its first annual sports tournament this month consisting of Men's Soccer and Ladies Volleyball.
Date: Saturday, June 24th, 2006
Time: 1:30 pm - 8:00 pm.
Location: CLARK PARK (all 3 soccer fields) (aka Strandherd Park in Google Map) Corner of Strandherd Drive and Houlahan St., in Barrhaven.

In addition to soccer fields and volleyball nets, there will be a field available at all time for kids to play soccer, baseball, etc.

Snacks and drinks will be available at a nominal cost at the venue.

The teams were organized based on different regions of Ottawa. Currently we have divided them as: Barrhaven - Chapman Mills Barrhaven - East Barrhaven - West Kanata - Morgan's Grant Kanata - Rest (includes Sttitsville) Nepean Ottawa
The main goal of the event is for friendly competition in a family type atmosphere. Snacks and drinks will be available at a nominal cost at the venue.

Soccer Details
Condition:
Mini outdoor field, 7 a side without offside. Other soccer rules applied
Entrance fee:
$40 per team. Must be submitted before the tournament.
Active # of players on field of game:
- Total Players: 8
- Seven players, and a sub who can be substituted as many times so long as total number of players at a given time shall be 7 in the field.
- In case if there are more than 8 players in a team, only one sub shall be used for the particular game; but another sub can be used for another game. -One of them will be goalie who can be rotate-able among players or designated goalie can be assigned if team prefers
Gender/Age:
Male/16+ and above
Jerseys:
Mandatory, players must look the same; same color t-shirts are ok
Rules and Regulations: Tournament Layout:
Round Robin depending on the number of teams that are entering (to a maximum of 8 teams) The competing teams will be determined by a draw after the teams have been confirmed and this information will be sent through e-mail.
Eg: Group A has 3 teams and Group B has 3 teams.
Each team will play 15-5-15 (minutes) game with other two team within their group.
Semifinal:
Winners of group A will play Runners of Group B and Winners of group B will play Runners of the Group A (15-5-15 games)
Final:
Winners of each match will play 20-5-20 game.
Draw Date:
Wednesday 21st of June
All of the captains or Asst must be present at this time and location -- currently planned to be held at Jockvale gym (Barrhaven)at 7 PM.
Awards: Champions will receive a NCRTA Champion Cup and title will go as NCRTA Champion Cup holders until the next year tournament when the same cup is returned and used for the tournament.
The MVP will be recognized in the tournament.

Team confirmations including the team name, captain, players and respective phone numbers/ email addresses, jersey colors must be submitted before Monday June 19th through email or phone.
The captain of each team must email back to confirm their participation.

Entrance fee: $30 per team. Must be submitted before the tournament.

- Total Players: 7 (6 on the field + 1 sub) per game. A team can have register more than 7 players but will have to declare 7 players per game.
- Gender/Age: Female/16+ and above
