Course Synopsis:
This class is tailored to help a beginner to digital photography to understand the different controls and master the point&shoot, prosumer and SLR digital cameras. We'll cover basic exposure, focusing, depth of field, lenses, basic flash photography, how to use histogram and more, if time permits.
You will also learn basic composition techniques to make your photos look better, participate in group discussions and learn how to take better pictures with your own digital camera. Those who are thinking to buy a new digital camera or upgrade to a better digital camera will find the discussion on "How to determine the best digital camera for you" particularly useful and informative.
The formal session is planned for 2 hours. There will be an optional additional one hour at the end of the 2 hours available to have a one on one session to go through your specific camera controls or ask any questions / clarifications on the material covered in the course.
Prerequisite: Only a passion for learning to take better pictures!!
Equipment Required: A digital camera, if you have one!!
Course Objective:
Provide enough information to make you understand the features of your digital camera to enable you to take better pictures when you take pictures at a family event or go on vacation.
